Startup founder, social media pioneer, music manager, and master negotiator, Josh Brooks has a proven record at the intersection of innovation, tech and media. Today, as Jam City’s Senior Vice President, Brooks oversees the fast-growing mobile game maker’s marketing budget and spearheads its global brand strategy.

Prior to Jam City (formerly SGN Games), he raised $1.6M in venture capital to create On The Run Tech and partnered with Selena Gomez to launch the Postcard on the Run app.

While at MySpace, Brooks created the social network’s integrated marketing team and branded advertising platform. In cooperation with the U.S. Department of Defense, Brooks produced Operation MySpace, a concert honoring American troops at Camp Buehring, Kuwait watched by millions in what became one of the internet’s earliest, largest live-streamed events.

Earlier in his career, Brooks managed Grammy-nominated band Queens of the Stone Age and was a founding member of Fanscape, acquired by Omnicom in 2010. Brooks was included among socalTECH’s Top 50 influencers list in 2013, and he received the Silicon Beach Wavemaker Award in 2011. He earned a BFA in Media Arts from University of Arizona and lives Los Angeles with his family.
