You will need this email confirmation to enter the event venue)This session will focus on the design and on site implementation of three serious games and gamification projects developed at the University of Skövde, Sweden. The games are used in museums and schools and have been designed with ease of use in mind - both for the player and the customers. The talk will cover how we designed these games with a very broad player base in mind, and how we have worked with two core design principles - "Pong design" and "Wow factor" to achieve this. The three games presented are all parts of research projects and have been developed in collaboration between game developers, game researchers and external customers.
This talk is about the reflective thoughts of two people who built a real money Poker MMOG with their team. A team with experienced poker players whose many assumptions including just knowing the game rules being enough were proved wrong multiple times.
The team learnt that it was futile to try and capture the 'entire' feature set before completing milestones. Instead, it was a process of discovery and efficient iteration. Purists would not call what the team followed a Scrum philosophy; rather it was 'Scrummy' philosophy.
The talk will outline how increasing understanding of the player and customer needs, helped us in coming out with a piece of complex game product, satisfactorily for the users and satisfyingly for us (the production/development/delivery team). We will not delve into the technicality; instead, we will share, how we dealt with unknowns.

- Samsung Tizn Mobile roadmap and expansion strategy
- Tizen Eco. and Store status and strategy

By starting game projects with Lumberyard, you can spend more of your time creating great gameplay and building communities of fans, and less time on the undifferentiated heavy lifting of building a game engine and managing server infrastructure.
This talk explores the art of building and managing a community in a world where games are consumed both as ‘full course meals’ and ‘snacks’.
Abhishek strongly believes that community building should happen in conjunction with the game and not as an afterthought. To highlight this, he will take you through a couple of case studies and talk about how communities can be leveraged to aid different phases of production.
