In recent times, questions of diversity and inclusiveness have become key concerns for the videogame industry, academia and gamers in general. With the growng appeal of videogames worldwide, there is an increasing need to address how this comparatively young entertainment medium reflects or go counter to the spirit of diversity and tolerance in the stereotypes some of the games perpetuate as well as the people it often excludes and includes. With a generally Western-bias in the popular videogame blockbusters since the very early days of the industry, it is important for Indians to voice our thoughts and the NGDC panel offers the first-ever (arguably) such platform. This panel is an open roundtable discussion that will address questions of diversity related to a vast array of issues addressed by expert panellists and later, in a q&a session with the audience. We look forward to your participation.
