Over the last few years, there has been a serious buzz about VR due to the emergence of new gen low latency VR experiences thanks to the availability of consumer grade VR hardware. In this talk, we discuss the evolution of VR hardware and software over the years  and how modern VR hardware coupled with a solid software ecosystem  allows us to build incredible immersive experiences. The talk will touch upon the salient points of what makes a great VR experience and what are the pitfalls that should be avoided. We will also differentiate between 3DOF, 6DOF, roomscale experiences and also discuss where the future VR hardware and ecosystem is headed.
